قصة انجليزية مترجمة ؛( ولا تخلو العبرة )

Once upon a time there was a man walking in the jungles where the magnificent nature and long trees. He was enjoying the viewof the thick trees covering the sunlight, listening to the birds singing, smelling the odor of the flowers.

في قديم الزمان كان هناك رجلا يتمشى في الأدغال حيث الطبيعة الخلابة و الأشجار الطويلة... وكان يتمتع بمنظر الأشجار السميكةِ وهي تحجب أشعة الشمس من شدة كثافتها ? ويستمتع لتغريد العصافير ويستنشق عبير الزهور لزكية

While he was fascinated by those views. He heard the sound of quick running and Is becoming clearer and nearer, the man turned and saw a great hungry lion coming fast towards him. The empty bellied lion was coming nearer and nearer.

وبينما هو مستمتع بتلك المناظر سمع صوت عدو سريع والصوت يصبح أكثر وضوحاً و أقرب والتفت الرجل إلىالخلف وإذا به يرى أسدا جائع ضخم الجثة ينطلق بسرعة نحوه. ومن شدة الجوع الذي الم بالأسد آن خصره ضامر بشكل واضح

.The man began to run like the wind with the lion running after him. When the lion became too close the mane noticed this old well. Without thinking the man jumped into it holding a strong rope that dangled inside it.

أخذ الرجل يجري بسرعة والأسد الذي يُلاحقُه وعندما أصبحَ الأسدَ قريب جداً منه رأى الرجل بئرا قديمة فقفز الرجل بدون تفكير قفزة قوية وأمسك بحبل قوي الذي يسحب به الماء يتمرجح داخل البئر.

After a while, he calmed down and the roar of the angry hungry lion faded away. But suddenly he heard the hissing sound of a huge anaconda snake coming from beneath

و بعد فترة، هدأ روعه وسكن زئير الأسد. لكن فجأة سَمعَ صوتَ فحيح ثعبان ضخم الرأس عريض الطول بجوف البئر

While he was thinking of a way to get rid of the lion at the top of the well and the huge snake coming from beneath, two big rats, a white and a black one began to climb the rope and started biting off the rope. The man got panicked and strongly began to shake the rope hoping that the rats will fall off the rope. He shook strongly until he began to swing right and left hitting the sides of the well

وبينما كان يفكر بطريقة للتخلص من الأسد والثعبان إذا بفأرين أسود والآخر أبيض يصعدان إلى أعلى الحبل وبدءا يقرضان الحبل. أصيب الرجل بالهلع وبدأ بهز الحبل بيديه بغية أن يسقط الفأرين. وأخذ يهز الحبل بقوة حتى بَدأَ بالتَأَرجُح يمينا وشمالا ويَضْربُ جوانبَ البئرِ

.While he was hitting the wall of the well,

he felt something wet and sticky on his face. He tasted it, it was honey that come from wild bees that build their cells in caves, old wells and high trees. The man licked again and again. The honey was so sweet, he forgot all about the lion , the huge snake and the dreadful rats.

بينما هو كَانَ يَضْربُ حائطَ البئرِ، أحسَّ بشيءٍ رطبَ و ولزج على وجهِه. ذاقَه وإذا به عسل الذي يَجيءُ مِنْ النحلِ البرّيِ التي تبْني خلاياها في الكهوفِ، الآبار القديمة والأشجار العالية. الرجل لَعقَ مراراً وتكراراً. العسل كَانَ حلوَّ جداً، ومن شدة حلاوة العسل نَسي الأسدَ، الأفعى الضخمة والجرذان المُخيفة.

Suddenly the man woke up!!!
It was a bad nightmare!!!

وفجأة استيقظ الرجل من النوم
فقد كان كابوسا مزعجا !!!

The man decided to go to someone who can interpret and explain this dream. So he went to a religious old man and told him about the dream. The old man laughed and said: Couldn't you understand this dream? The frightened man answered: No

وقرر الرجل أن يذهب إلى شخصٍ ما ليفسر له الحلم. لذا ذهب إلى شيخٍ كبير واخبره بالحلم, فضحك الشيخ وقال: ألم تعرف تفسيره ?? قال الرجل: لا

The old man said: The lion running after you is the Angel of Death

. قال له الأسد الذي يجري خلفكَ هو ملك الموت

And the well with the huge snake is your grave

والبئر الذي به الثعبان هو قبرك

And the rope you were holding tight is your life
والحبل الذي كنت تتعلق به هو عمرك

The black and white rats are day and night and they are cutting of your life….

والفأرين الأسود والأبيض هما الليل والنهار يقطعون منعمرك

The man asked: What about the sweet honey, respected old man???

سَألَ الرجل: ماذا عن العسل الحلو ّ ، مع احترمي لكَ أيها الشيخ

The old religious man answered: Its the life with its sweetness that

make you forget all about death and Judgment Day

أجابه الشيخ: هي الدنيا من حلاوتها أنستك أنساك موت ويوم حساب
