قصّة ملك الضفادع

كانت هناك مجموعةٌ من الضّفادع الّتي تعيش بسلام داخل إحدى البرك، وفي يومٍ من الأيّام قرّرت
الضفادع بأنّها تحتاج إلى ملكٍ كي يدبّر لها أمورها، فاختلفت فيما بينها بالضفدع الأجدر لأن يكون
ملكاً عليهم، فطلبت من حاكم الغابة أن يُرسل إليها ملكاً غريباً من صنفٍ آخر، ولأنّه أراد السّخرية
منها قام بإرسال طائر اللقلق كي يعيش بينها ويحكم في الأمور. فرحت الضفادع بقدوم الطائر،
وأقامت حفلةً رائعة داخل البحيرة لتعيينهم ملكاً جديداً، ولكنّها تفاجأت لعدم استجابة الطائر لها،
وجلوسه وحيداً دون أن يتكلّم معها، فقالت الضفادع: ربّما لأنّه جديد يخاف منّا، سنتعرّف عليه غداً.
نامت الضفادع بهدوءٍ واطمئنان، وكان الطائر يتحضّر لأن يأكلها، ولكن استيقظ أحدها من نومه
فجأةً، وحذّر أصدقاءه من الطائر وقال لهم بأنّه شرير، فاختبئت الضفادع في أماكن آمنة، حتّى
ذهب الطائر وغادر، وشكروا زميلهم الضفدع على تنبيهه إيّاهم وتعلّموا بألّا يضعوا ملكاً جديداً غريباً
عنهم.
